Safety and Certification

Every Wattman Mini Express and Maxi Express is independently certified by TÜV Nederland under EN 13814:2019 (Parts 1, 2, and 3) — the international standard for the design, manufacture, and construction of fairground and amusement park machinery. Full documentation is included with every train as standard.

Operating a trackless train with paying guests is a legal responsibility. In most markets this triggers mandatory requirements for insurance, periodic inspections, and operating permits. Insurers do not issue coverage on uncertified equipment — and many operators only discover this when it is too late.

Not all trains sold into international markets carry independent third-party certification. Self-declared CE marking is not the same as independent certification. Before investing in any train, verify that certification was issued by a recognized third-party body — not self-declared by the manufacturer.

Frequently Asked Questions — Wattman Mini Express

What is the passenger capacity of the Mini Express?

The Mini Express Essential Edition carries up to 16 passengers across one passenger wagon and a caboose. The Classic and Signature Editions add a second passenger wagon, bringing total capacity to approximately 24 passengers per ride cycle. Exact capacity depends on your selected configuration.

Does the Mini Express require a track or special surface?

No track is required. The Mini Express is a fully trackless train that operates on standard paved surfaces, including asphalt, concrete, and smooth pavement. A minimum turning radius of approximately 5.5 metres makes it suitable for tight indoor and outdoor venues.

How long does the battery last per charge?

The Mini Express runs on a 48-volt electric drive system. Under normal operating conditions, a full charge supports a full day of operation. Exact runtime depends on route length, gradient, and passenger load. The water distribution system manages battery cooling for consistent performance.

What certifications does the Mini Express carry?

Every Wattman Mini Express is independently certified by TÜV under EN 13814:2019 (Parts 1, 2, 3). Full certification documentation is provided with every unit to support your local permitting process.

Can the Mini Express be customized with our venue's branding?

Yes. Every Mini Express is built to your specifications. You can customize the color scheme, livery, and wagon panels to match your venue’s brand. Wagon Ad Panels are available as an option to generate additional advertising revenue. Your sales advisor will guide you through the full customization process.

How long does it take to receive a Wattman Mini Express after ordering?

Lead time depends on your configuration and current production schedule. Most orders are delivered within 8 to 14 weeks from order confirmation. Your sales advisor will provide an exact timeline based on your specifications and destination.
